The brief
Fiona Barret Interiors at 12 Francis Street in Westminster, London, was one of Group GA’s early M&E design and installation projects. Spanning three floors, this site is home to stunning office spaces and a large showroom for award-winning Fiona Barrett’s interior design companies, FBI and FBC London.
The project
Being heavily involved from the start of the project and working alongside Grangewood Builders, Group GA took on the enormous responsibility of revamping this empty space into a functioning yet immaculate area, with a high-end finish, to showcase how mechanical and electrical services can be fitted into luxury residential homes.
Group GA designed and installed every aspect of this project from mechanical, fire and security systems to small power, data installations and Sonos sound systems. We installed extravagant lighting fixtures by celebrated designers such as Christopher Boots, Lindsey Adelman and Gabriel Scott.
Both the electrical and mechanical teams had to ensure that every aspect of the installation was completed to the highest specification. The correct lighting levels were required to showcase the interior, which would be inspected by visitors on a daily basis, alongside functional office spaces ready for day-to-day use.
The result
Despite the potential issues and the high profile expectations, Group GA welcomed the challenge and completed the project with ease. All parties involved were very pleased with the results, especially our client.
